StatementConnecting personally with warmth and joy to our time together is #1 for me. You will not find me to be strict, but hopefully encouraging! Regular (recorded) practice at home, though, is vital for improvement. Classical music training is my goal for each student, including strong sight reading abilities and comfort with reading chord charts, melody lines, and improvising as students grow. Recitals 2x year. My schedule allows for me to go to homes or teach from my home with a lovely Boston 5' baby grand. Getting off the piano bench for movement or theory games is something I try to do at each lesson. I also enjoy incorporating visual arts and listening to period music for different styles of music.
